All about the Role

Peterborough City Council have an ambitious vision to deliver its Transformation programme of work across all services within the Council.  

Reporting to the Head of Transformation, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing and ensuring the development and delivery of a range of analytical work and service improvement projects and work-streams within the Transformation programme of work across Peterborough City Council. A detailed knowledge, experience and understanding of Programme Management, Delivery management, Governance and Assurance functions, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to adapt to a fast, evolving programme on a large scale are critical within this role.

We are looking for a team player with strong interpersonal skills, highly motivated, works well under pressure and organised with a good sense of humour to join our innovative and industrious project management team.  

You will have extensive experience in programme management, including managing complex, large-scale programmes.

You have Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.

You have good knowledge of risk management and its application.

You have an understanding of the decision making and governance arrangements within local authorities.
