All about the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as Strategic Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational development of the general responsibilities and universal services set out in the Care Act 2014, specifically overseeing our Adult Social Care information and advice and ensuring the voice of people that we work with is at the heart of what we do. The postholder will have a key role in the development of working relationships with voluntary and community sector and public sector partners that support people to remain independent, safe and well in the community and work closely with and promote the work of our Adult Social Care Partnership Boards (Carers, Physical Disability, Sensory Impairment, Older People and Learning Disability) and other voice and participation bodies. This role is also the key lead for co-ordinating our Adult Social Care business support team, creating a dynamic and flexible team that works across all Adult Social Care.

Our team is small and works across all Adult Social Care client groups to deliver a range of activities including exciting transformation projects, performance data, systems and digital transformation, co-production support, internal communication, and day-to-day processes. All about You
You are an experienced professional with a strong background in adult social care services with knowledge of the purpose of Personalisation within the Social Care and Health environment and an understanding of relevant legislation appropriate to Social Care. You are well-versed in organisational policies, procedures, and practices and have a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering with the ability to execute services in line with an agreed action plan. You are a self-starter who can work independently to achieve service objectives, and your logical reasoning and analytical skills enable you to adapt and engage in a variety of activities. Your ability to design, develop, and manage projects is complemented by your excellent planning and organisational skills, ensuring that deadlines and targets are met. You are adept at representing the business area and communicating to and gaining the confidence of a variety of key stakeholders. You are capable of both working within and managing change.
