Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Peterborough City Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. We aim to comply with WCAG 2.2 standards at AA standard. However this portal is still in early development phase.
Compliance status
This website is not compliant with the WCAG version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliance(s) [and/or] the following exemptions.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
This site has been made live as a 'soft launch' and for ‘live’ user testing. A list of the issues remaining following testing will be added within four weeks of the site being published.
(Site published 30 June, 2025).
Disproportionate burden
We have determined that there is disproportionate burden to meet all the requirements for the following reasons: This is an intermediate stage of the project, final functionality (inclusions and exclusions) are still to be determined and the remaining content to then be refined for the official launch. A second development phase is planned for September 2025.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
Continued inhouse Accessibility checks and analysis of the portal, getting user feedback. Further planned development of the website before official launch.
