This is a fixed-term contract for two years, with the possibility of extension.

All about the Role 

As our new Head of Performance and Intelligence, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a corporate approach to performance management and intelligence that underpins the Council's Corporate Plan and key objectives. You'll work closely with the Chief Executive, Corporate Leadership Team, and strategic partners to ensure robust analysis and insight inform every major decision. 

You'll lead a talented team of service managers and analysts, championing a culture of curiosity, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement. Your work will drive transparency, accountability, and operational excellence across the Council. 

What You'll Do

Drive the Council's strategic vision by shaping and delivering a cutting-edge performance and intelligence agenda. Lead the creation of innovative data tools—spanning self-service analytics, data science, and AI—that empower smarter decisions. Ensure statutory reporting is seamless and accurate, while forging dynamic partnerships with universities, health, police, and schools. Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in every service, present impactful insights to senior leaders, and inspire a high-performing team to achieve excellence together.
