Clare Lodge is a secure, welfare only, all-female children's home based in Glinton, Peterborough. The young people at Clare Lodge are given individualised support based on their complex needs.

This is a night time working role. The Shift pattern is 21:30pm to 8.00am , 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off.
The successful applicants will receive a comprehensive induction programme and are assured that they will receive appropriate support.
Night rate pay enhancement
The night rate of time and one third applies to employees working nights only.
Night work must include the hours 00.00 (midnight) to 05.00 – the core night. Start and finish times may be for any period either side of the core night. The one-third rate is paid to all of the hours on the shift.
A minimum half hour break must be taken if the shift exceeds six hours and must be taken during the shift, not at either end.

The skills you need:
• Empathy and a passion for helping young people – responding effectively to a range of emotions.
• Ability to build positive relationships.
• Prior knowledge of child protection issues and procedures and an understanding of the
development needs of children and young people are desirable but not essential.
• Good Interpersonal and communication skills, report writing and incident recording skills.
• Willing to work every other weekend and bank holidays.
• The role requires you to be able to take part in physical activities.
• To be over the age of 21 to apply for this role.
