All about the Role
The Education Safeguarding Team is seeking a highly organised and proactive Operational Support Assistant to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our education safeguarding administrative processes. This is an exciting opportunity to support a busy, dynamic team dedicated to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in education settings.
You will provide high‑quality administrative support across a range of safeguarding functions, helping the team respond effectively to schools, multi‑agency partners, and members of the public.
Liaising with colleagues, professionals, and external stakeholders over the phone, and via email, is a key aspect of this role. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with a strong understanding of confidentiality, sensitivity, and data protection principles.
This role operates on a hybrid working model, combining home‑based working with office collaboration at Sand Martin House in Peterborough
Please note the salary advertise is the FTE. As this role is part time the salary will be pro rata
All about our Team
The Education Safeguarding Team, is a small but incredibly fast pace and busy team. The team provides expert advice, guidance, and support to schools, colleges, and other partners on a wide range of safeguarding matters. This includes responding to concerns, offering consultation, delivering training, and ensuring that education settings understand and fulfil their statutory safeguarding responsibilities. By working closely with social care, multi‑agency partners, and education professionals, the team helps create safe learning environments where children can thrive, and concerns about their welfare are responded to promptly and effectively.
