The Estates and Facilities Management team at Peterborough City Council,  is currently seeking a dedicated and professional individualto fill the position of Receptionist at Peterborough City Council. This role offers an excellent opportunity to become a pivotal member of a dynamic division committed to delivering outstanding service and support across the organisation.

Role Overview:

As Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and clients, ensuring that all interactions are conducted with courtesy and efficiency. You will be responsible for handling enquiries directly from external customers, contractors, staff members and councillors. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to communicate effectively are essential in maintaining the high standards expected within our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcoming visitors and directing them as appropriate.
  • Managing enquiries or redirecting them as needed.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and supporting the wider department as required.
  • Upholding confidentiality and professionalism.

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates exemplary communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Prior experience in a reception or administrative role will be considered an asset, though a genuine willingness to learn and adapt is equally valued.
