Clare Lodge - A Secure Children's Home for Young People
Young people placed at Clare Lodge often have experienced significant trauma, including abuse and exploitation. Many face challenges such as poor attachments, low self-esteem, and complex health and mental health needs. Behaviours may include running away, self-harm, substance misuse, eating disorders, aggression, and other difficulties requiring specialist intervention.
Cherry Lodge
A specialist residential care for children and young people. Cherry Lodge is operated by Peterborough City Council and provides specialist residential care for children and young people with severe disabilities, aged 5 to 19. The service offers short breaks and shared care placements, supporting families by providing respite and tailored care.
Access to Cherry Lodge’s short breaks is determined through the Children with Disabilities Panel, while shared care requests are considered by the Joint Agency Support Panel. Both processes involve a thorough assessment in which parents play an active role, and the assessing professional presents the recommendations to the relevant panel.
As a local authority children’s home, Cherry Lodge offers its services without charge to children and young people who live within Peterborough.
Working at either of our units means being part of a team that transforms lives. You’ll contribute to a service that provides safety, stability, and hope for young people during their most vulnerable moments. If you’re passionate about making a difference and thrive in a challenging but rewarding environment, Clare Lodge and Cherry Lodge could be the place for you.
