Lead innovation in Adult Social Care! We're looking for a proactive Deputy Therapy Team Manager and Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Lead to help shape the future of therapy services and technology-enabled care.

This is a role within Adult Social Care, combining leadership, professional practice and specialist responsibility for Technology Enabled Care.

As the Deputy Therapy Team Manager and Technology Enabled Care  Lead, you will:

  • Support the Therapy Services Manager in the day‑to‑day leadership and management of the Therapy Service, including allocation of work, service delivery and operational decision‑making.
  • Deputise for the Therapy Services Manager when required, undertaking delegated responsibilities such as recruitment, supervision and service oversight.
  • Hold a clinical caseload, working with people who have highly complex needs, and applying advanced assessment, intervention and problem‑solving skills to promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Provide expert advice and authorisation relating to equipment, minor and major adaptations, ensuring statutory requirements and local procedures are met.
  • Ensure practice is compliant with legislation, professional standards and council policies, including safeguarding, data protection and equality duties.

As Deputy Therapy Services Manager and Technology Enabled Care Lead you will support the Principal Occupational Therapist and Therapy Services Manager to lead a group that prides itself on innovation, professional development, and continuous learning. All about You

Are you an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist who is ready to take on a key leadership and specialist role within Adult Social Care?

You will bring:

  • Strong professional expertise in occupational therapy, with extensive experience working across health and social care and a clear understanding of the Care Act 2014 and strength‑based practice.
  • Leadership confidence, with experience supporting, supervising and developing practitioners, and the ability to deputise for the Therapy Team Manager when required.
  • Specialist interest and aptitude in Technology Enabled Care, with the ability to champion innovation, support service development and build workforce confidence in using technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage and influence a wide range of audiences including people who use our services, carers, colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making skills, with confidence managing complexity, risk and competing priorities with a high level of autonomy.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries, building effective relationships with health, housing, voluntary sector and community partners.
  • A professional, reflective and supportive approach, demonstrating integrity, resilience and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

You will be someone who is enthusiastic about developing others, improving services and shaping the future of therapy and technology‑enabled care within Adult Social Care.
