All about the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team here at Cherry Lodge as a Relief Residential Worker and make a real difference to young people's lives!
Cherry Lodge is a local authority children's home and offers short breaks and shared care placements to children and young people with severe disabilities, complex health and behaviours that challenge between the ages of 5 and 18.
We are seeking someone who is child centred, caring and wants to make a difference. Someone who will be dedicated to providing the best outcomes for Children with Disabilities and their families.
As a Relief Residential Worker you will act as an advocate so as to ensure that children and young people receive appropriate levels and standards of individual care and support.
Maintain standards of recognised good practice at all times when supporting children and young people by establishing purposeful and constructive relationships and appropriate role modelling so as to assist with the development of their life and social skills and age-appropriate independence.
Maintain and produce required records and files and assist with routine administration, so as to help ensure that the home has efficient systems.
This is a 0 hours contract with an hourly rate of £14.82

All about You
- Knowledge and understanding of good Customer Care.
- Must have understanding of child development & children's physical & emotional needs.
- Ability to listen to children, young people and their families and to communicate with colleagues and other professionals verbally and in writing.
- Ability to complete relevant training including National Diploma 3.
- Involvement with children and young people as a paid worker, volunteer or carer.
- Experience writing reports and observations.
- Experience with office applications such as work and Outlook 365
- Ability to complete relevant training including National Diploma 3.
