All about the Role 

Clare Lodge Secure Children's Home is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of education for young people within our specialist setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help pupils engage in learning, develop key skills, and achieve positive educational outcomes.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support young people in lessons, working with individuals and small groups to help them access learning and make progress. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to promote engagement, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

The role also includes supporting safeguarding practices, contributing to pupil wellbeing, maintaining accurate records, and participating in relevant training, including CALM (Crisis and Limitation Management).

Interview will take place on 30th September  at Clare Lodge

All about You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational, residential, or care setting. You will hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be able to build effective professional relationships, work collaboratively as part of a team, remain calm in challenging situations, and demonstrate a commitment to supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of young people.
