We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team.
This role would be suited to candidates with recent experience supporting pupils aged 4 - 11 years and comes with the possibility of working in our new SEN hub (SEN experience preferable).

Key responsibilities
● Provide high-quality, in-class and small-group support for all pupils helping them access the full curriculum.
● Deliver learning activities planned by the teacher and SENDCO; clarify and explain instructions; check understanding and help pupils complete tasks.
● Use appropriate strategies to support social, emotional and behavioural needs and encourage independence.
● Support pupils to use equipment and resources safely and effectively.
● Monitor and record pupil progress; provide regular feedback to teachers and the SENDCO.
● Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information professionally.
● Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and external professionals as required.
Person specification — essential
● Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in childcare and education.
● Strong classroom practice: the ability to support learning, manage behaviour sensitively and promote independence.
● Good communication skills — able to work with pupils, staff at all levels and families.
● Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
● Commitment to the school's values and to inclusion.
Desirable
● Recent experience preferable in supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting (primary age 4–11).
● Experience of delivering specific interventions (e.g. phonics catch-up, speech and language programmes, ELSA, precision teaching).
● Training in relevant areas (behaviour strategies, medical administration, First Aid, safeguarding).
