All about the Role
As a Brokerage Officer, you will coordinate residential, nursing and domiciliary care placements, negotiate prices with care providers, manage block contracts and record key information on Mosaic. You'll provide essential administrative and financial support, prepare reports, arrange meetings and ensure accurate documentation across the service.

You will be part of a supportive and collaborative Brokerage Team dedicated to ensuring residents receive the right care at the right time.
The team works closely with:
- Social care practitioners across Adult Social Care
- Independent sector care home and domiciliary care providers
- Managers and wider Council departments
Together, the team ensures that placements and care packages are sourced efficiently, that contracts are managed effectively, and that information is recorded and communicated to a high professional standard. You'll also work with the Brokerage Manager, supporting key tasks, meetings and reporting activities that keep the service running smoothly.

- Is highly organised and can manage a varied workload.
- Has strong communication skills and can work confidently with team members, managers, providers and external partners.
- Is comfortable negotiating and discussing costs with independent care providers.
- Pays close attention to detail, particularly when recording information or preparing reports.
- Can work effectively with Council databases and information systems.
- Is proactive, solution‑focused and able to work independently when needed.
- Is confident advising and informing others on matters related to their area of work.
- Can represent the team professionally in meetings and working groups.
