All about the Role 

We have a great opportunity based at City College Peterborough to become a key member of our Skills for Life department. As an experienced English tutor, you will be required to plan and deliver GCSE English courses across a range of levels in an inspiring manner; you will support your learners to achieve their full potential and create a positive and engaging learning environment. The job role will include contributing to the continued development of the department, providing tutorial support for learners, and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the position. The successful candidate will need to have experience in delivering English to adult learners. A minimum of L3 English or equivalent is required as well as a minimum of level 3 Education and Training qualification is essential to carry out this role. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced criminal records with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service

This will be a sessional contract.

The successful candidate will be required to: • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in English • Establish effective working relationships with people at all levels • Monitor, support and record learner progress • Provide innovative and stimulating training • Work as part of a team to achieve timely results NB. All positions are working with learners aged 19+
