Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential?

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Behaviour and Inclusion Officer to join our Student Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all learners can thrive.

As our Behaviour and Inclusion Officer, you will work directly with learners who may be experiencing challenges that impact their attendance, engagement, behaviour, wellbeing, or academic progress. Through targeted interventions, restorative approaches, and effective partnership working, you will help learners build confidence, resilience, and the skills needed to succeed both in college and beyond.

About the Role

You will:

  • Support learners to overcome personal, social, emotional, and behavioural barriers to learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, attendance, and student engagement across the college.
  • Deliver one-to-one and group interventions for learners requiring additional support.
  • Work closely with curriculum teams, tutors, safeguarding staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to coordinate effective support plans.
  • Use restorative practices to resolve conflict and encourage positive learner relationships.
  • Monitor attendance, behaviour, and engagement, identifying learners who may be at risk of disengagement or underachievement.
  • Contribute to a culture where every learner feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals.
