All about the Role
This role reports into the Adults, Children & Education Manager.
The Senior Adults, Children and Education Systems Officer is responsible for carrying out high quality administrative and support functions as part of the Adults, Children & Education team supporting line of business systems in Peterborough City Council.
The post holder will have an expert understanding of Children's Social Care systems, particularly Liquidlogic line of business IT systems and will be able to resolve complex support queries and change requests.
The role will also be responsible for:
- Communication with service users and provide advice and guidance on application use.
- Running reports to support the collation of information to meet business requirements, and to understand the relationship and work, with external systems.
- Managing processes across multiple business systems.
- Effectively manage workloads and multiple priorities.
- Work with the team manager to co-ordinate, manage, test and deliver the release of upgrades of specific systems.
The role will provide expert assistance for upgrades and support the commissioning of new systems and changes.

All about our Team
The Adults, Children & Education Systems Team provides specialist systems support and development for frontline services across Peterborough City Council.
The team supports and manages key business systems used by Adults' Social Care, Children's Social Care, SEND and Education services, responding to system incidents, service requests and change requirements.
Working closely with service areas and digital colleagues, the team delivers system improvements, manages system changes from testing through to live deployment, and provides a customer‑focused service to ensure systems are reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
All about You
You will bring:
- In‑depth knowledge of Children's Social Care line‑of‑business systems, including their data flows, integrations and reporting requirements
- Demonstrable experience resolving complex system issues and change requests, working confidently with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting system upgrades, releases and new functionality, ensuring continuity of service and minimal impact on operational teams
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to run, validate and interpret reports to support statutory returns, performance monitoring and service assurance
- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, balancing reactive support with planned change and improvement work
