All about the Role
This is a part time role of 22.2 hours (salary quoted is based on 37 hours and will therefore be pro rata accordingly)
We are looking for a People Business Coordinator (Maternity Cover) to join our team on a part‑time basis (3 days per week), with complete flexibility over how those hours are worked. This makes the role ideal for someone seeking meaningful, professional HR experience within a supportive environment, while balancing commitments outside of work.
As a People Business Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high‑quality People services across the organisation. You'll work closely with managers and colleagues to provide day‑to‑day HR support, ensuring our processes run smoothly and that our workforce is well‑supported.
Your responsibilities will span a broad range of activities including:
- Providing first‑line HR advice on policies and procedures
- Preparing reports and workforce data
- Preparing documentation and supporting casework
- Assisting with employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Ensuring timely and consistent administrative support across People & Business Relations activities
We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a positive, collaborative approach. If you're eager to build your HR capability and gain experience in a fast paced setting, this role offers a fantastic opportunity.
All about our Team
You will be joining our People & Business Relations team, a friendly, supportive, and experienced group who work closely with services across the organisation to provide professional HR advice and support.
We pride ourselves on being:
- Approachable and collaborative – we work together, share knowledge, and support each other
- Solution‑focused – we help managers resolve issues in a fair, timely, and consistent way
- Continuous learners – we value development and actively encourage it, at every level
- Committed to improvement – we work to strengthen our processes, policies, and people practices
As part of the team, you will have access to experienced HR professionals who are invested in your growth. You'll be encouraged to ask questions, try new tasks, and take on responsibilities at a pace that suits your confidence.
We support a culture where everyone is valued, ideas are welcomed, and development is supported. You'll be joining a team that celebrates small wins, supports each other during busy periods, and genuinely enjoys working together.
All about You
You will be someone who brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine interest in people. You don't need years of HR experience — what matters most is your willingness to learn, your commitment to delivering high‑quality work, and your ability to work with accuracy and care.
We're ideally looking for someone who:
- Has a strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate, high‑quality work
- Is organised, able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working independently when needed
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Builds positive working relationships and works well as part of a team
- Is proactive, open‑minded, and enjoys learning new things
- Brings a constructive, can‑do attitude
Most importantly, you'll be someone who wants to develop your People/HR experience in a supportive, encouraging environment. Whether you're early in your HR career or looking to refresh your experience, this role will give you valuable exposure to People operations, policy application, casework and the wider HR function.
If you're ready to grow, willing to get stuck in, and committed to delivering great service, we'd love to welcome you into the team.
