All about the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex, high‑profile projects that support the Council's strategic priorities and transformation ambitions. You will manage projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring strong governance, clear plans and measurable outcomes.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, service leads and delivery partners, you will provide confident leadership, effective risk and budget management, and clear reporting to project and programme boards. You will play a key role in driving change, supporting Senior Responsible Officers, and ensuring projects deliver value for money.

This is a fast‑paced, high‑impact role requiring excellent communication skills, strong organisational awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and partners.

Interviews will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of June.

All about our Team

Digital & Customer Access brings together digital, data, technology and customer experience to improve how people access council services.

We work across the organisation to design and deliver services that are simple, accessible, secure and joined‑up. Our work includes digital service redesign, customer access transformation, data and analytics and modern infrastructure.

We are a collaborative, forward‑looking service that values learning, continuous improvement and practical delivery. Our focus is on outcomes — improving services for residents, businesses and staff.

All about You

You are an experienced delivery professional with a strong track record of leading complex change in large organisations.

You understand how to apply programme and project governance in a way that supports delivery. You are confident managing risk, budgets and benefits, and providing clear updates to senior stakeholders.

You build strong relationships, communicate clearly and can influence across teams and partners. You are comfortable working in fast‑paced environments and balancing strategic priorities with hands‑on delivery.
