All about the Role 

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Field Plant Engineer to join us.  In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of horticultural and agricultural plant machinery, ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and ready for operational use.

This role is crucial in ensuring that all plant, machinery and equipment operates efficiently and reliably, and that service disruption to Streetcare operations is prioritised and kept to a minimum

You'll be joining a supportive and experienced team that takes pride in keeping essential Streetcare services running efficiently. The team works collaboratively to deliver a high-quality, reliable service that supports the local community.


All about You

You'll bring strong technical knowledge and practical experience working with horticultural or agricultural plant machinery. Confident in diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs, you'll take a proactive approach to maintenance and work in line with manufacturer guidance and safety standards.

You'll have experience of at least three years in a Plant Engineer or similar role, ideally within grounds maintenance or agricultural settings, along with a good understanding of statutory inspection requirements.

Experience maintaining and repairing a wide range of professional grounds maintenance equipment / horticultural and agricultural plant  

Full UK driving license (essential) with the ability to drive a mobile service vehicle  

Minimum 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level.   

Educated to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in an appropriate field (e.g. Agricultural technician, Plant or Machinery Maintenance etc)
